Brushing Screen - Design

  • Brush screens are mechanically cleaned very fine screening equipment used to prevent fine sized floating wastes from traveling further in to waste water treatment plants based on MBR or similar technology so as to prevent damage to the membranes. These are also ideal for effluent treatment plants of food processing, textile, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, sugar, breweries etc. Each screen is designed specifically as per flow requirements of the customer and application. This enables a low cost screening solution.
  • Each unit incorporates a receiving chamber followed by a wedge wire screen half drum with in to out phenomenon, over which the effluent passes, enabling the separation process.
  • Solid waste higher than slot width is screened by wedge wire panel is cleaned by a set of continuously rotating brushes and drop the screenings to the outlet chute.
  • This waste can be either compacted by screw compactor (Optional accessory equipment) or can be taken to solid waste disposal.
  • Extracted liquid passes through the wedge wire towards a underneath of screen. Flanged outlet is available on request. This water can be used for either re-circulation or discharge. This screen can be mount on a tank top or on stands with flanged outlet.
