Parabolic Screen
ArCh Enviro range of Parabolic screens (also known as run down screens) offers the benefits include a high capacity, cost effective, highly efficient method of solids/liquids separation.
It uses stainless steel wedge wire as the screening medium. Slot opening varies from 0.25 mm to 3.0 mm
Parabolic screens are designed and manufactured in a combination of four standard unit heights, with widths ranging from 800mm to 2,000mm. In conclusion this is dependent on the application and capacities required to be screened
Parabolic Screen - Design
- Each Run down screen is designed specifically as per flow requirements of the customer and application. This enables a low cost screening solution. Outer casing can be selected from MS (Epoxy painted) or Stainless steel.
- Each unit incorporates a receiving chamber and a weir, over which the effluent passes onto the wedge wire panel, enabling the separation process.
- Solid waste higher than slot width is screened by wedge wire panel and slides down towards the bottom half of the screen. This waste can be either compacted by screw compactor (Optional accessory equipment) or can be taken to solid waste disposal.
- Extracted liquid passes through the wedge wire towards a underneath collection chamber with a flanged outlet. This water can be used for either re-circulation or discharge.
